DUMBARTON: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) Band has secured first place overall in the Grade 4B category at an international music competition held in Dumbarton, Scotland.
The band also won first place in the drum corps competition in the same category. More than 130 military and musical bands competed across various categories.
Meanwhile, the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) Band won first place in the Best Infantry and Discipline Team category and secured fourth place in the World Grade 3B category.
The achievements reflect the advanced capabilities of the Sultan’s Armed Forces bands in military music, precision, performance and discipline.
They also mark another distinguished international representation for the Sultanate of Oman and demonstrate the Sultan’s Armed Forces’ commitment to developing skills, enhancing capabilities and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
